Class of 2025 and Beyond Mon. – Wed. For Two Weeks June 19 - 21 and June 26 - 28 6:00 - 7:30 PM This class is for the Digital SAT / PSAT ONLY. If you are in the class of 2024, you will want tutoring for the Paper Test. I teach strategies that work for most students and cover subject matter as needed. We look at real tests, walk through them, and discuss ways to approach questions. I use a virtual white board with the tests displayed so students can see what I’m writing. I have an additional camera so I can see the students and they can see me as we work. Yes, I want cameras on. I can interpret learning through facial reactions better than just words. Students don’t have to speak up to communicate, but it will help. I do not want to put students on the spot, but I encourage interaction. Homework Students will be given about an hour of daily homework each class and about two hours over the weekend break. Each time a student submits their completed homework by the daily deadline they will receive a $5 homework rebate. If they submit all homework assignments, that will total $25 by at the end of the course. I encourage parents to allow the students to keep that money as an incentive to do their homework each day. Why do I have a homework rebate? Students need to practice in order to learn the test strategies. I have found that paying students increases their participation by about fifty percent. Supplies Students will use the official practice tests that are posted on the College Board website. We will use both the digital versions and paper versions of the digital test. Do not buy the current SAT book. It is not for the digital test. I will email you what you need before class begins.
